The Site has no user accounts, no sign-up or contact forms, no comment system, and no newsletter. We do not run our own analytics, we do not set our own tracking cookies, and we never ask you for personal information to use any lesson or tool. All interactive tools (metronome, tuner, ear trainers, jam tracks, practice timer) run entirely inside your browser — nothing you play or practice is sent to any server.
Some features remember your progress — for example, roadmap milestones and practice checklists. This information is saved using your browser's localStorage, on your own device only. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and you can erase it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for chordcanvas.co. See the Cookie Policy for details.
The Site is served by Cloudflare. Like virtually all web infrastructure, Cloudflare may process technical data about requests (such as IP address, user-agent, and requested URL) for security, abuse prevention, and performance purposes. We do not use this data to identify visitors. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Pages load the Inter, Space Grotesk, and JetBrains Mono typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches these fonts, your IP address is disclosed to Google as part of the request. Google states that Fonts requests are not used for advertising profiles. See Google Fonts privacy information.
We may display advertising served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense to keep the Site free. When ads are shown:
Ad personalisation, measurement, and the data practices of ad vendors are governed by those vendors' own privacy policies, including Google's advertising policies.
Lessons link to external resources (for example, licensed lyric and tab sites, and gear manufacturers). Once you leave chordcanvas.co, the destination site's own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites.
The Site's content is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13. If you believe a child has somehow provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Because we do not collect or store personal data ourselves, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct, or delete.
